Are you looking for a 55+ community? The ranch house generally means NOT in the city proper. I would look into Hellertown if I were you. They have a lot of really cute houses, some within walking distance to their main street, that would fit your price range. Hellertown is a nice town within a very short drive to Bethlehem.

Looking at Zillow there is a 200 year old house in Hellertown in your price range. Not a big house. The nice thing about Hellertown is that it is easy access to I 78 if you want to visit NYC.
