I'm moving to Lower Nazareth (right off of 33). What I like about that area is:
1) NASD appears to be a decent school district. Their test scores and AP courses offered in the high school are comparable to the "better" schol districts
2) The location is nice (close to 22, 33 & 78)
3) There is an awesome Wegman's/ Target/ Wal Mart... complex within a 5 - 10 minute drive from most of LN
4) Taxes are relatively lower than some other districts
5) Still feels semi-rural, which is kind of the point of living in the Lehigh Valley (as opposed to more densly packed areas)

Hope this helps.

For the positive reasons you mentioned though, it is difficult to find many houses in the $250K range.

Correct, but I just checked the MLS and there are 8 homes <250K for sale in Lower Nazareth. Not terrible.
