Default Relocation from Alabama to PA or NJ

I am considering a relo to a job in Whitehorse Station, NJ. They have recommended I consider Nazareth, PA as a good place to take up routes. We aren't able to afford the homes & taxes in NJ so is this an option worth considering? I am in the #1 school district in Al. Our cost of living is very low with taxes on a 5 bedroom 3800 sq foot home of just 2k per year. The home itself should sell for around 450k. I have 3 kids (3rd grade, 4th grade & 7th grade)
Thoughts on the move? The school options? The commute time?

2k per year in taxes on 3800 sq ft???? I think I'll consider moving to Alabama. Ok, seriously you won't find a home in PA or Jersey where your taxes will be that low. Nazareth is a nice town, but it is not the #1 school district in the area. Check out schoolmatters.com for info. The commute time with no traffic or accidents will probably be about 50 minutes from Nazareth. But I-78 is notorious for accidents so your commute could be much longer.
