I am thinking about internship here and would be moving with my children and husband for only a year. I am hoping to relocate permanently in either colorado or north carolina. I was born and raised in NC, but my husband is from CO and I have lived there as well. So, I am trying to see if Lexington would be worthwhile for a year when comparing to other places. I am applying to 18 different sites, so can't go into all of them, but I am wondering generally how Lexington compares to other places that I am looking at for internship (for anyone who may have experience there): Tampa, Raleigh-Durham, Augusta, Nashvillle, Denver, SLC, etc. I have no sense of Kentucky - I guess it's Southern. Southern like Alabama or southern like Virginia? Cost of living looks better than where I am coming from, but some times COL can be deceiving.
I am mainly looking for safe and enriching for my young children and husband. I want them to be happy.
