I have plenty of flexibility. I have a remote job so I can pretty much work from anywhere. I can fly to Lexington during the week when fares are lower, any time of day.
Driving to KY isn't ideal but Colorado is really isolated. I'm used to 10 hour road trips to KC, Albuquerque, etc. I've driven to Tucson, Houston and Montana in the last couple of years. Fun? No, but audiobooks and espresso heal all wounds.
I live near Colorado Springs, but I've never flown out of there. My local airport is Denver.

My Cousin and his family lives in Colorado Springs! He works for the Airplane factory there. His wife is a teacher.
