Are there any restaurants or any places that do wine tastings? Any coming up in the next month or so? Seems like a good way to meet some people and get some good wine!

Although I don't know about their wine tasting offerings, there are many local wineries/vineyards to choose from: Jean Farris, Equus Run, Lover's Leap, Talon, Acres of Land, Chrisman Mill....just to name a few. Jean Farris has a pretty comprehensive web site:

Pass on Kentucky wine. It's mediocre and I'm confused as to why anybody would buy it. Visiting a winery is a nice experience, but pass on ingesting the crap.
