Hello - We are considering of relocating to London with our two children (3,5 years old and 4 months old).

For financial planning purposes I am trying to figure out how much the true cost of living would be for the four of us.

We plan to rent a 2 bedroom apartment in Uxbridge or the neighbouring areas with easy access to Brunnel (rent is estimated at £ 900 pcm) . In the first year I would be at home with the baby but would enroll our older son to a nursery.

I would appreciate any help in trying to calculate an average monthly expense for a family of four (utilities, food expense, travelling, healthcare, nursery, council tax - am I missing something?)

Thanks.
