Hi all I am after some underground (or not well known) shops in London.. anyone know any great shops that maybe no one else really knows about... or any general tips about shopping in london? Thanks!
To start with, stay away from Oxford Street and Regent Street. That is just your standard shopping. Personally, I love Jermyn St. and the other smaller streets around it. Also, check out the street markets like Petticoat Lane.
Camden Market is still going and is just as eccentric, wierd and wonerful as ever! Definately head to Camden and if possible Portobello market for vintage finds.
You don't even have to go far off the beaten track to get to Carnaby Street where you will find lots of 'one-off' shops. Check out this link for a description, directions and a list of current shops: All the shops in Carnaby Street, London
Whatever you do stay off Oxford Street and Regent Street...have a nice time :-)
Don't forget Greggs for that fine dining experience of gourmet British food stuffs.
35 Quid for a bowl of soup?go to Greggs instead
