We waited until the following morning and I reported it to the front desk. We went out for breakfast while they were supposed to fix it and came back to a totally different toilet...NOT NEW...just something that was used that they had on hand or something. It was terrible the night we didn't have a toilet and there were no other toilets on the hotel's site except for our neighbors but I wouldn't dare ask them if we could use theirs.
did you really expect them to go buy a new toilet just for you? a toilet is a toilet, and as long as it's doing its job what's the big deal?

The reference to no nightlife in Montauk reflects time past. It is now a hotbed for the Hamptons crowd. Now you might have a different problem in that you might not be able to get in, or willin to pay the prices.

Do any of you have any specific recommendations on where to go in Montauk or the Hamptons for nightlife?

No, I did not expect a new toilet but I didn't expect to come back and see our toilet totally gone. LOL. We thought it was amusing actually. The part that really upset us is the no 24 hour service and when we did call at about 11:00 the night before to say we had an issue, nobody ever showed! It was horrible. That's what really turned us off about this place.
