I even have an account with ancestry, to no avail. Does anyone know of anyone or any place where I could possibly find out about him? I don't have the funds to hire a researcher so any information, website, direction or help would be great.
Thanks!

The best thing to do is check the census' on Ancestry and also check birth and death records for him. Census' will probably help the most. You might also want to check
www.ellisisland.org to see if he came over with others. The issue is that he could have listed center moriches but later left. He might have started a family elsewhere and not on long island. The other thing is that alot of people changed their names when they came over and the passenger manifests also have alot of mistakes when entered into the database by the churches from the original script. That's why you might want to use many variations rather than exact spelling of last names. The genealogy forum on here can be helpful too. I did most of my research in the past few years but unfortunately the holocaust ended alot of my searches. Good luck on your quest.
