Help Needed (Hicksville, Westbury, Jericho: apartment complex, rentals, safe area)

Relocating to NY due to new job (yaay). I would like to be close to the Old Westbury area. Please give me tips on best/safe places to find rentals close to this area. I am a single woman looking for a nice studio or 1 bedroom.
-I have a car but would be willing to take whatever form of transportation is available.

You might want to check out the Westwood Village Apartments, just off Brush Hollow Road in the part of the Hamlet of Jericho that has a "Westbury, NY 11590" mailing address.

Fairhaven Apartments is another apartment complex to check out. It's south of Northern State Parkway and to the west side of North Broadway, straddling the Jericho/Hicksville border (some apartments are in Jericho and some are in Hicksville; the apartments in Hicksville have lower rents than the apartments in Jericho).

Also, where are you moving from?--just to get an idea of comparison.

I second Walter's suggestions because they're nearby locations that are pretty safe.

Also, check with a local realtor to see if they know of any rentals in Old Westbury itself because that is a real nice and safe area. JM2C-Good Luck
