When I grew up in Oceanside in the 60's, we'd take a bus to Long Beach and sneak on the beach by jumping off the boardwalk.

If we were feeling wealthier, we'd go to Far Rockaway.

Totally flush, we'd take the Bee Line bus to Jamaica and continue by subway anywhere in the city.

Was nice to be a kid back then. Now live in Raleigh, NC.

Here in Richmond we have the AAA team for Atlanta. I haven't been this year but tickets are around $7. Good baseball as you see many players on their way up.

Smile Little to no cost fun?

i know there are a ton of things on the island that cost an arm and a leg, but i was wondering if anyone knew of some little to no cost places where my husband and I can take our 2 year old son in the upcoming months?
We live in Levittown. I know there's an animal petting farm in Melville that I believe isn't too expensive...I don't know the name or location though. Does anyone know of any good pumpkin patches around during the fall?
Thanks!
