I was considering the same house. Did you notice that the sellers just bought the house on January 18, 2011 for 635K. Were you able to ascertain why they are selling so soon? Whatever you do, do not pay a penny over 635K, although its GC the house is small and only has one bathroom.

They may have selling the house right away due to the fact that they may have been living way beyond their menas and could not afford the taxes and mortgage or due to a job change and move.

Thanks for all the great advice. I think this house is perfect for us. Hopefully it will happen. Lets all keep our fingers crossed. We are in the process of negotiating right now.

Garden City is nice. Paying 460 a sqf for an 80+ year old home seems like a lot to me plus it's on a 50x100 lot with one bath. But then again to each their own

I wish I could transport my home there and sell it because I would get something like 3.2 Million on that price per SQF.

I don't think so....I said she has a house on that street and I did not say she lived there. If you have nothing constructive to add to this thread move along then.

Good point. It's too bad more of us didn't make posts about our mom's friends living on that street. Just think about what the original poster could have done with all that useful information!
