Wonder if this year will be quiet or will tons of kids be out? I figure quiet because its on a monday. People keep telling me kids will be trick or treating on sunday instead. Nobodys getting candy if they come to my house the day before Halloween. Just sayin.
Especially the 35 year olds that come with no costume and their pillow case. I always act scared when they come to the door and ask them where they found such a scary costume.
Relax. Children will start knocking on your door about 30 minutes after school gets out on Monday. By 6:30 pm most will be done aside from a few teenagers or ones with parents who get home later. Give the teenagers Blow Pops and they will leave content. Give them cheap penny candy or don't answer your door and your car may get the dreaded shaving cream bath.
Where I live no one comes to my door. I live on a very busy corner and my house is right next to sunrise. I am lucky if I get 3 kids ever year. Trucks, cars, 18 wheelers pass by my house all the time so I think it's a safety issue why they don't come to my house. I don't blame them, people turn onto my block as if they were in a race.

where do you live??? Thats pretty lucky lol. I wouldn't mind living right by sunrise but I would never buy a house on the LIE service road.
I like Islip's downtown quite a bit. Seems underfrequented and never talked about compared to neighboring towns like Bay Shore or something...but it seems like it has a lot to offer whenever I drive through it which is quite often because I have a good friend in the area.
