There is/was a Best Western on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa. IT looks nice, and chain hotels are probably going to be nicer than something like The Pines, Hollywwod, or even the Lindenhurst Motel (the rooms there look about as big as a bathroom)
Hmmm, they have two and three hour "short stay" rates...
This is from their website:
The Commack Motor Inn has romantic and stimulating rooms with fabulous features to motivate your moods and fantasies - beautiful, luxurious surroundings; multiple-mirrors, stereo music and lights, in-room movies, DirecTV and some rooms with DVD players. You can choose from waterbeds, whirlpools or steambaths and tubs for two. It's lovable - it's exotic... It's fantastic. Rooms are available for short stays or overnight at a variety of sensible rates.
Don't think this is what walker0508 had in mind for her hubby

I was being funny about the commack motor Inn. They have a jungle themed room I heard.
there is a cheap motel in east massapequa, across the street from berner jr high school on carmens road. its pretty cheap.
That would be the Rodeway Inn. Seeing whereas it was far from a four star venue as Olson's Inn when I went to Berner in the late '60's, I doubt if it has become anymore upscale since then. I drive past it fairly regularly and the exterior definitely looks like it has seen better days. These two reviews from Trip Advisor say pretty much the same thing.
really that's what the going rate for 3 hours is? It's been 10 years since I was there LOL
lol...its been 20 years! that was the rate back in 1991 for the deluxe room with the works!
did you know there was a club in the basement? I couldnt believe my eyes!
