NYIT?
Hofstra?
St. Joseph's College?
Adelphi?
St. Johns?
SUNY Old Westbury?
Dowling?
CW Post?

Anybody attended any of these? If so what was your experience?

Definitely not Adelphi. I attended Adelphi for an MBA degree after relocating from out of state and it was nothing special. Not at all worth their high cost of tuition. The management of the business school didn't seem at all concerned with education and frequently joked around with the staff and students.

I would say Hofstra - they have a business school on campus (Zarb School of Business- offers MBAs), I am not sure if any of the others do.

Definitely Hofstra, out of these.

(Not LI) but I'd also look at CUNY Baruch, and NYU (Stern) if you can swing it.

I second NYU Stern, as a grad myself. Take a look at the US news and world report business school rankings, they're normally on point.

I woudl say Hofstra over Adelphi, I don't have much experience with the others. I would say definately NYU over Hofstra, and if there is something on the US News rankings that beats hofstra but not up there with NYU, go with that.

As a student and when doing recruiting events, I've just noticed that NYU students it is just night and day better than tthe LI schools I looked at as a whole, everyone is prepared, knows about what they're looking for, asks real questions and basically cna talk the talk.

Hofstra over Adelphi.
If in the city and want to pay comparable cost - Pace, a cheaper alternative is Baruch. If you want to pay nose bleed prices - NYU, But if you're going to pay nose-bleed prices, you will get a better return on your money by attending Wharton in PA, Columbia - uptown or the Ivys (Harvard,Cornell, Princeton,Yale). NYU is overpriced. Don't go by US News rankings - they are a joke.

Note to ChrisK - there are plenty of grad schools in the city and on the island where the students "walk the walk as well as talk the talk". There are plenty of undiscovered gems out there, and while NYU used to be impressive - the other schools mentioned above will open just as many doors if not more.
