I'm guessing that you're looking in the F-section (all the streets begin with a 'F') of East Birchwood, which is in the Hamlet of Syosset ("Jericho, NY 11735" mailing address) as well as in the Syosset Central School District.
In the southwest part of Jericho, addresses there may be "Westbury, NY 11590" but those homes are in the Hamlet of iJericho as well as in the Jericho Union Free School District.
On LI, You Ain't Where You Think You Are, rev. 3 may help you understand the great geographic confusions caused by non-conforming ZIP Code postal zones.

Yes; unless you want to pay a non-resident tuition on a space available basis, in addition to your Syosset Central School District property tax, so that you can send your kids to some other school district.

Among other things, the Census Bureau's
online address search function also indicates in which school district an address is located.
