I use terminix. They have a 'sentricon' system where they put termite poison into yummy bits of wood and put the poisoned snacks into 'traps' that are around your house. The worker termites eat the snacks and then bring the poison back to the nest and end up killing off the lazy bugs who don't go out and get the food. Those traps are then monitored every few months for activity and refreshed if eaten.

In their words: why take the bait when they have bigger bait (your house) to chew on? People think that having no termites in the stations means no problem, but this is not true! The barrier system is less expensive than the baiting system and it is more effective. Believe me, we did our research and trust this company 100 percent.
these holes they drill, how does that form a complete barrier? How large are the holes and are they visible? If holes aren't filled in, any water that gets in will expand/contract and break up concrete.

The liquid barrier works because termites cannot get into your house and any termmites inside the house cannot exit to get water. And without water, they quickly die.
