It's about time a buyer was found for this county owned and operated nursing home. Has been a drain on the county budget for a long time now. And hopefully under private ownership they'll actually be able to fill their beds, rather than running at nearly 50% capacity.

The union will come out and boycott the sale for the employees who work at the nursing home, but these people should have known for a long time now that their jobs and benefits were not secure. The county was not going to continue to operate this nursing home until they could all retire. I think it's great that the buyer is going to be forced to offer all employees a job. I understand that it won't be the cushy county benefit package, but at lease they'll have a job.
