Did we establish what neighborhood this is in? Must not be much community awareness from the neighbors if guys are walking out with baseboard heaters. .

Yes, it is being sold as is condition. There was no point in us putting anymore money into it for it just to be stolen.

Still fighting with the insurance over the first one.

It is on Horseblock Road in farmingville. Lots of walking neighbours, yes, lots of illegals etc. But a very very very busy road.

Being a retired cop I can tell you that fingerprints are nearly impossible to lift from most surfaces. In addition, if an individual touches the same surface more than once, the prints blur so lifting a clean print is impossible. People watch too much CSI.

Cheap insurance: hidden game camera. They are motion activated, pretty cheap (comparably), and are usually small enough to hide. Plus you can always fleabay it when you're done.

Perhaps you should invest in security cameras which save the footage in a remote location? It's expensive, but perhaps it might save money in the long run.

Nope. They never said anything at all about it being empty ; that never ever came up. They initially said that they had to have it investigated as it was a break in. Then they sent me paperwork which I filled in and returned. Before they got the paperwork, they said that they werent able to confirm my story and would be closing the file within days. This was before the 60 days were up. Then after they got the paperwork including pics etc, they said they could confirm the story and it was genuine (why would I damage my own house!!), and I havent heard one thing or even received anything. The first break in happened in May.

I am contacting the insurance board today to see where I go from here.
