I'm just the opposite. Bought a fake tree when I moved to Florida. Oh I suffered.......but I just thought it was the time of year. Brought it back North........same thing....so out it went.. and back to a balsam.

One thing I do though - before I bring the tree in - it gets a good shower outside first to remove the pollen.

Now I have two cats. The youngest - well this will be his first Christmas tree. Lily - who is 9 - is very interested in the tree when I first bring it in. However, once it is in the stand - she's no longer interested.
We'll see how the new baby - Charcoal - does with the tree. I've owned 11 cats over the years and not one has been a problem with the tree. I hope my luck doesn't run out this Christmas.....lol

If you need a nice candle to burn - Bath and Body's White Barn "Fresh Balsam" candle is great! The best I've smelled yet for that Christmas tree aroma.

God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving!!
Sounds nice! Just practice good safety with the lights and things and it should be a great display. Grab some warm eggnog and gingerbread cookies and it's on.
