Again..why is it that you focus on Walmart when their wages and any tax benefits are available to any corporation that will create jobs in a locality. You a union sheep that buys the AFL-CIO line?
Think Target doesnt get tax subsidies.
If government didnt tax the hell out of corporations they wouldnt have to normalize it by giving tax subsidies.
Only partly right, there is also an economic downturn that's still going on and also increased efficiencies in manufacturing and business that give many businesses reasons not to hire. Yes, Obamacare will likely hurt hiring but many companies are hiding behind it so they don't have to look like the bad guys for not hiring.
Only in the short run.
Obamacare is actually not a socialist giveaway. It is only supposed be misunderstood as one. Yes people you heard me right. What it is designed to do is to take the burden of employee and family health insurance off of business and put it onto individuals, much like now most pensions are gone and people are saving for retirement themselves in 401k plans. First of all, NO public option like Medicaid/Medicare to buy into, PLUS there are no cost controls on the private health insurers, so that ensures captive customers for big insurers to feast on. Second, individuals will have to prove each year on their federal income tax forms that they and their spouses and dependents were covered by some form of health insurance all year or pay a fine. If they don't have health insurance from their job, they aren't old enough for Medicare or aren't poor enough for Medicaid, too bad, buy it yourself. In some states the cost of private insurance will go down, like NY. In some states it will go up. Right now the market is unstable, a crap shoot. In October, they are supposed to unveil the Obamacare rates for 2014. Thirdly, the "fines" for business are actually CHEAPER than paying health insurance premiums for their employees. So it's a big incentive to get rid of employee health insurance and let it fall on the individual's shoulders. And fining employers have been put off until 2015 because the paperwork is too complex. They got a pass, but individuals did not get a pass on being fined, even if they are employees of employers who got a pass on being fined. So who do you really think Obamacare was cooked up to help financially? Anyone who calls Obamacare a program that will hurt employers needs to take a closer look at it.
and the so called fines are a joke. Its meant again to force companies and individuals through taxes to support 30 million freeloaders who now get health insurance for free.
Oh and lets not forget the additional taxes that are being charged to pay for it....
I think I'll trust Forbes' reporting on the GAO's comprehensive report as of 7/1/13 instead of nobody "Kyle Pomerleau" formerly of the Koch Foundation, who only looked at a study consisting of six industries. Wow, a whole six industries pay nearly their share!
Despite all their griping about the U.S.’s highest-in-the-developed-world 35% federal corporate income tax rate, big profitable U.S. companies paid just 12.6% of their reported worldwide profits in federal income taxes in 2010, a study released today by Congress’ Government Accountability Office shows. That low-sounding number is likely to fuel the debate over whether U.S. companies, after using all the tax breaks and ploys at their disposable, are really overtaxed. One point of comparison: last fall, Mitt Romney’s campaign produced a notarized letter from accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers stating that over the last two decades the Republican Presidential candidate had never paid personal income tax at below a 13.66% effective individual rate.

Medicare is simply an underfunded single payer insurance plan.
If the socialist in chief had any guts he simply would have used Medicare as the core of a single payer system for everyone in the US. But that would upset his union sheeple and corporate donors.

Exactly. Target is not on record for cutting F/T employee hours to 30 with the express intent to avoid providing benefits. Walmart is.

Oh yeah. That would have had a chance in the Senate. Puh-leeze.
I'm against Obamacare but what happens if it's repealed after full or partial but still substantial implementation?
