I found this super interesting. It's a report that lists the most corrupt Congressmen of 2013 and of the 17 mentioned, 4 of them are from NY alone. report: Many are "repeat offenders," having been included in the report in previous years. Most of the offenses have to do with misuse of campaign funds, but in general, it's most interesting to me how they just act as though there's nothing wrong with it or claim ignorance to avoid the consequences. And the DOJ (Department of Justice) and FEC (Federal Election Commission) are as much to blame for not doing anything productive about it or just letting investigations "hang" indefinitely.

This should not be any surprise to LI residents, home of corrupt government at every level. Neither should the fact that none of them really serve jail time. Not Pedro Espade, not Joseph Bruno... well Carl Kruger is, but his offenses were especially heinous.

And here's NY Rep. Michael Grimm threatening a local reporter after the State of the Union last night, after being questioned about his investigation. What a jerk:

I know when it comes to Sen Shummer he loves to get his face on camera. He make a big promis to correct things and after a short while nothing happens.Taxpayers could save a lot of money by dumping him out of office.Just my opinion.
