There's not much of a difference btwn Nassau & Suffolk - but I actually think Suffolk may be a tad easier only b/c it's more rural out there. Nassau can get crazy at some spots, mostly Old Country Road by the mall - the congestion there is a horror show and "Dead Man's Alley" on the SSP, which I think is exits 13-18. If you're nervous, take a lil spin around the Centereach area (with a licensed driver of course) sometime before your test to get a feel for the area. Good luck!

I took mine @ the Freeport site ages ago.
Yes, it's all dirt roads and farms east of route 110.

Yes, out here we're all a bunch of hayseeds in the sticks.
If you had taken a moment to look up Suffolk County road test sites, you would have seen the easternmost testing point is in Riverhead, at Pukaski & Columbus. It's not exactly rural in Riverhead proper.
The Centerach road test site is very similar to the Wantagh site.
Centereach was where I took my road test in 1968 . I passed the first time so it probably is pretty easy. Of course, there were a lot less cars on the road back then.
Thanksss! Yeahh I've been getting the same thing about a lot of cars on the roads.
I took my road test in Cambria Heights (Queens) and it was super easy. My sister failed the road test in Garden City, but passed (after more practice) in Cambria Heights. The staff was also really nice at that location. If for whatever reason Centreach doesn't work out, I'd recommend Cambria Heights.
Thank you! I'll keep that in mind but I'm crossing my fingers I'll pass this one ☺️
I don't know how it is in Centereach, but in Patchogue the road test is nothing but local residential roads after the very beginning.
Thanks for the tip!
