TOB inspector came to look at the 3 squares I wanted to replace. He painted 13 of them red and told me I have to have all of them done. None of them are bad. My Homeowners Insurance, who would have to pay out if someone trips on the sidewalk, only feels one needs to be taken care of. I guess the town needs more money. Once you call them, they have to do a property to property insepection, so if any of your other flags are iffy, don't call them. I find the whole thing pretty funny
^ pics?
You're not required to use the town. I think they see it more of a liability issue now that they've inspected it.

So you are stuck with a $1300 bill to replace all 13 flags?
Yep. I thought I was doing them a favor for paying them to do the three flags but the joke is on me. I am sure it would cost more if some mason did it. I guess the town will fine me for violations if I do not fix them now that they are aware.
^ they have a payment plan that you can spread out payments for 12 months with 0% interest. We paid $1500 to do all our flags - but it was a real mess so we wanted to anyway. The good thing is they also widened the driveway and did a completely new apron. They had to cut a foot into the blacktop driveway too though and it is not completely uniform after they filled it again.
