I think young couples looking to start a family will want to be able to cook and keep an eye on their toddler at the same time. I'm not trying to argue, I just think that they did a great job with the small space. You could definitely host a holiday there.
Yeah I guess you're right.

What color paint would you recommend instead?

According to mlsli.com, it does have a full bath in the basement.
I think the pic was taken to deliberately hide the stove/sink.

That part of kitchen is out of sight for a reason. That bathroom is probably illegal as well.

5-10 mins for us in the middle of the island. We're also right on the 135. I frequently go to Bellmore and going back up to the LIE is such a PITA bother. The reason is 25 mins gets us to most destinations already.

Lol idk. The blue on the kitchen walls looks nice. Guess they contrasted with yellow in living room because the denim blue couch wouldn't look great against the blue. Yellow is a tricky color to get right. The closest I've come to yellow has been Linen White!

As a former Nassau resident, I used to moan about taking one parkway to get to another, too. Then we moved out east, and I realized just how great it was to be able to have the easy access. I'm 25 min to get to ANY parkway in order to then get to the PITA shuffling around the parkways. I'm not complaining, there are cool trade offs. I'm just saying that I can only now appreciate how great it was to travel throughout most of Nassau via parkways instead of BS side roads or highways.
