Any suggestions for weekend getaway spot? I am really into scenic places, high altitudes. Been to upstate NY way too many times. Just wondering if there's something else anyone on here would recommend? I live in Nassau county so looking for something that's not more than 4-5 hours away.

New Paltz, Block Island, New Port RI, Mystic Ct. Bear Mountain, top of Staten Island Dump.
Southern Vermont. I have spent quite a bit of time there and it is lovely for a long weekend or more.
Historic Bennington (it's about an hour from Albany)
Manchester (not much further than that - great shopping, lovely places to stay)
Quechee, Vermont
Woodstock, Vermont
Mystic Seaport, Connecticut
