Rose fence is recommended by me. A friend had a fence done by them and his neighbor had it done by a competitor for less. However, the quality of his fence is noticeably better than his neighbor's.

On paving, I used Taormina Masonry Corp, and they did a great job on my front steps. They got an "A" rating on Angies List.

I was just on Angie's List looking up Rose Fence and was surprised to see that their reviews, while not all horrible, were rather mixed (B overall) - given the great feedback here.

I didn't check Angie's List for fences -- just going by friend's experiences (not even my own.)

Did you bother to get the permit for the fence? If you did, was it a pain? It's on my projects list for the fall but dealing with the buildings department is really off-putting.

Rose did my fence 10 years ago and still looks good. Only thing they dont check permits etc so up to you to figure out if fence they put up is actually legal and they dont file the permits

I live in East Hills, where they are anal about permits, so of course I got one. It was easy, fill out a form (fence co will supply you with info needed), draw a fence on a survey, pay a small fee. Got a permit within 1 week.
