DiFara is not in Queens! It's in the Midwood area of Brooklyn. My favorite on the South Shore is Angelina's in Lynbrook.

Someone mentioned Salvatore in Port Washington. Any other decent places in the North Shore area?

A slice of Grandma's at Green Olive in New Hyde Park. It's a little kosher pizza and falafel place just inside of Queens.

It's a square thin crust pizza with shredded mozzarella, crushed tomatoes, garlic, marinara sauce, and pesto.

Red Tomato in East Norwich is pretty good. Wood-fired brick oven.

As for Long Island NY Style pizza we like Two Brothers in Levittown. Regular round neopolitan pie cooked in a regular pizza oven with sauce and everyday shredded moz. Very solid and consistent. Though I have not been to the standard bearer places in NYC burroughs, though we did try Grimaldi's in Garden City(menza menz), my wife and I have never had a better straight up regular pizza then Frank Pepe's in New Haven which was called tomato pie there. All-World IOHO! Never been to Italy though so that could change.

LI Picks:
Regular slice - Two Brothers
Brick oven - Red Tomato
Feeling nostalgic - Alberts(Copiague only!)

Honorable mention to the sausage and broccoli rabe pie at Angoletto's Café in New Hyde Park. The regular pie is excellent also though I have not been there in almost a decade.
