Hey all...Interested in finding out how long it would take driving (in hours not miles) from North babylon 27 west highway to downtown brooklyn near Barclay center leaving 6am to be at Barclay for 7:30 am? Is this doable? Is Sunrise highway a better option than the Southern state parkway..Any help would be appreciated...

why not take train? Cheaper/quicker, the cost to park around there is very high
thanks! since ill be making this commute everyday just wanted to get the fastest route possible.. figured leaving early as possible would make the commute easier..glad I'm not further out in Suffolk.
Why would you ever consider driving there? The LIRR is right there. Unless you are carpooling with 4+ people and can all leave by 6am them maybe it might be a good money saving option. But if are alone then you are asking for an early grave.
I make the drive from Hicksville area every so often as I work 3/4 of a miles from Barclays in BK Heights. Going in at 6 won't be the worst, as other said going home is miserable especially on Fridays. The train is faster and easier. I have access to a lot for $8 a day and 50% of the time I can get a free spot from my job and it's still not worth driving in. You can find some street parking, if you care about your car it's a bad idea.
I agree with the LIRR. Parking at some stations like Wyandanch is free for town of babylon residents if you wanna do the extra drive.
