Hello,

Looking for a nice 1 bedroom in an apartment complex in western/middle Suffolk (not past lie exit 62). I would like a place that has a good quality of life. Do not want to be in a place that accepts section 8 if that's even possible now a days. Budget would be nice if it can be around 1500-1600 willing to a pay a little more if it's justified. Thanks for any information provided as always.

In Suffolk County, source of income is a protected class. That means the landlord can't ask where the money is coming from, as long as they can prove they have the income to pay the rent. No more "we don't accept Section 8 and other programs".

There are a few places where you might find what you're looking for, as long as you like the location(s). Don't know what you mean by "nice".
Babylon currently has a couple, Bay Shore has more, as does Brightwaters (Studio or 1-bedroom). A couple in Deer Park, Hauppauge and Holbrook, as well as Islip Terrace and Lake Ronkonkoma. Also some in West Babylon and Selden.
Most (not all!) include heat. Electric is never included.
