SO I just did my taxes, and I am getting back the same amount I got last year. I pay 12k in taxes on home, and 12k in mortgage interest. I am not sure why everyone thinks the sky is falling. All this nonsense for NOTHING for most of LI.

... he tax legislation is effective for the 2018 tax year (1/1/18 - 12/31/18), you won't see changes on your return until you file in 2019.
No I used a calculator to see what the difference is between 2017, and 2018. It's within $100.
