It's not blocked off but they did change the address # and the look of the house so people can't figure out which house it is.

It's really very obvious which one it is because of those windows. Well, I haven't been by in over 20 years, but it used to be apparent.

they removed the windows about 10 years ago.

The house doesn't look anything like what it looked like at the time of the murders or the "horror".... I drove past there a couple of months ago when I was in the area for a look-see. If I didn't already know where the house was, I would have gone right past it.

The house was sideways going back to 78- 79 when we took some school friends from upstate to see it.

There have been changes to it over the years, and if a person goes down there not really knowing where the house is, they are going to pass by.

I was just having a little fun about turning the house sideways, figured maybe add to the folklore. Most people are surprised to see that the front of the house is actually sideways to the street and on a rather narrow plot of land. Nothing really foreboding about the looks of the place which wouldn't play as well in the movie.
