When was the last time you were there? North Baldwin is basically Haiti and Baldwin Harbor which was nice till the 80's is now nothing but abandoned homes and Jamaican gangs and drug dealers. There are some great houses between Sunrise and Atlantic but unfortunately, you have to shell out for private school.
You do not know what you're talking about
Not there is anything wrong with being Haitian but I live in North Baldwn and there is not a single Haitian on my block.
Tbere are no Jamaican gangs in Baldwin and the abandoned houses in the Harbor are because of destruction from Hurricane Sandy, but even then there aren't that many.
Greatschool ratings are based mostly on how well the students performed on the NYS standardized tests. Also, kids in Jericho and Syosset are heavily tutored outside of school, hence, stellar performance. I have never seen so many test prep centers in any of Long Island suburbs as I have seen in Jericho, so it's very questionable whether the high academic performance of the district is due to the teachers, or due to a combination of demographics and outside tutoring.
It's also a lot of first and 2nd generation Asian parents who stress academics.

Ive already posted the high crime rates in Baldwin compared to the rest of LI.
Town of Hempstead turns a blind eye to illegal apartments. Streets are flooded with vehicles from all the illegal tenants.
Baldwin Harbor was going downhill about 20 years before Sandy. Even then most of the high school kids went to Kellenberg, Holy Trinity, or Chaminade.
