Subway after 12am rarely runs. You'r better off walking or taking a cab.

I see. Got it. Thanks you for your suggestions. I feel ready to go.. I'm impressed and glad that others in this sub forum are so helpful. If I'm dressed warmly for cold at night, I should be ok walking. Less hassle of waiting for the subway and it may be on slow schedule that late anyway.

yeah don't miss the 1 a.m. train. Then you're on the drunk train and waiting around Penn for 2 hours is nooooo fun at all.

Looks like the weather is not going to cooperate tomorrow night, would it be better to drive in and look for parking close to Times Square? Is it easy to call an Uber if it's raining or snowing, from Penn Station to Times Square?

If you can't get an uber, there's a cab stand on Seventh Ave. right in front of Penn Station. Often, there's a fast moving line of people waiting. I don't know about night time, but during the day, there's usually a traffic aide who directs the cabs to the curb.

Driving in is not a nightmare, I do it all the time during non-rush hours. You can get there in 60 min and park in any garage or find street parking. No big deal.
