Yet home sales are up over 60% now.

Homes are selling ridiculously EVERYWHERE. There were over 20 bids on a house in PA. Ask me how I know.

As for LI, the demand will always be here. Blind demand. Family-location-demand. Look at the demographics coming here because they heard the schools were great and are willing to overpay asking price to be here. They have the means and will pay as long as they get what they want. Details be damned.

Doesn't mean the issues I talk about don't exist. They will learn, some (many) will suffer through it anyway because of family or job ties. Jobs they can't get elsewhere for various reasons. There are better ways to live. I wouldn't be so sour if the money we pay out actually went back into the place... but it hardly ever does. The value of being here would change then. Show me I'm wrong.

Lol it's not their fault if 1/3 of Long island lost power and most of the trains run on electrcity, and the signals and switches ...then how can they operate safely? Also why sit and wait in Penn station staring at the time tables ...go take a walk or something

Answer: Abject fear that the minute you leave Penn and get just far enough away that you can't get back in time, a train that will handle everyone will arrive and be the last train to Clarksville. No matter how irrational that thought is, it is indeed real, just ask someone who is standing there.
