Family from the Covid ridden states of Florida and Arizona are looking to come back to LI and seeking rentals until they figure out more permanent housing.

Was told about Holiday Square in West Bablyon which looked great from the ads and the website on Apartments.com, but wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge about the complex or the surrounding area - and whether it is convenient to the LIRR and other City transportation since they plan on transferring jobs into Manhattan and will have to go into the office at least 2 or 3 times a week. There was one bad review several years ago saying it was becoming a dump for section 8 recipients so we are wondering if that is still the case or not.

Or if anyone can recommend any other pet friendly garden apartment complexes in the area with a range under $1700 - that would be helpful too. We know about Manorville and previously asked about it but apparently there is no easy commute from there to Manhattan by train so the hunt continues.

With gratitude -

I know where it is but unfortunately I do not know much about the area. Holiday Square itself seems quiet but it is not like I ever examined the area closely, just drove past it many times.

There is no Long Island Railroad station in West Babylon, the closest ones are in Lindenhurst and Babylon Village. Both Lindenhurst and Babylon have parking lots but they are for village residents I believe.

Holiday Square itself is sort of in the middle of nowhere (all residential area) except for a CVS pharmacy a few blocks away. There is alot of stores about a mile down the road on Montauk Highway including several decent supermarkets and the Great South Bay shopping center.

Sorry for the limited info.

My son is in West Babylon. Uses the Babylon station. It's close by.
No issues.
