Hi Everyone,

Couple of years back my friend made a full bathroom in my unfinished basement without permit. My basement is divided into two parts and one part has old wood panels, other part is unfinished. Unfinished part has boiler, laundry and full bathroom.

I do not want to remove the bathroom but want it to be added on the CO as i plan to sell the house. Does anyone has experience dealing with such situation? Please advise.

My house is town of north hempstead.

Thanks.

If the plumber need to dig up the waste line to install the backflow device to bring the toilet up to code, that runs between $3k - $5K. I don't know what is required to bring the shower up to code.
