Which of the Town of Islip beaches is best? It seems to have beaches in West Islip, Bay Shore, Islip, East Islip, 2 in Sayville, and Bayport. Is swimming in the Great South Bay safe?

Safe to swim. not very crowded like Jones beach, no beach traffic. You need a beach pass if you are a TOI resident I believe it's $30.00 for 2 years. Otherwise I think you pay $10.00 as a non resident every time you go. East Islip marina has a restaurant and so does the Islip beach. I am not familiar with the others. Bayshore has a spray park if you have young kids.
