It is also true that there seems to be a rash of violence in the city and cops are in greater danger. I'm all for ending bail reform and reduced sentences - the justice system is a revolving door and if I were a cop, I'd be mad as all hell to see some guy I locked up yesterday, back on the street today!
Stop-and-frisk is another entity. It's unconstitutional, and a violation of fourth amendment rights. No, I'm not an advocate of stop-and-frisk.
