Still refusing to accept any blame for her actions that lead to death of 87-year-old Barbara Gustern, Lauren Pazienza wailed, moaned and sobbed in court as she was sentenced to 8 years in slammer. Justice Felicia Mennin tacked on an additional six months blasting Ms. Pazienza for her continuing refusal to accept any responsibility for her actions.

The worst part is that sentance will further be reduced to time served, good behavior blah, blah, blah and this total piece of crap will be out to enjoy her life, but in the meantime Barbara Gustern, who by all accounts was beloved, is dead with zero chance of enjoying life.

Once again, justice denied.

For a person like her, compared to a street guy, even a few years will leave a mark in her life.
Jail for her will be very difficult.
For someone who’s been in an out, few years is no big deal, but her it will be a life changer.

One can only hope you are right.

Were her parents ever charged for hiding her from the police at their home?

Nope, but they did show up in "funeral attire" for her sentencing.

And the only job she will probably be able to get will be at a certain cesspool company.

Wonder what the fiance is up to.

What is a cesspool company... I've searched around -
can someone help me understand ? She seems like one messed up person, filled with anger, pride and entitlement. Whoa...she is not going to do well in prison, imo. Thanks for explaining.

Wait, I kept searching :
"Lauren Pazienza, 26, grew up in an idyllic part of Long Island, where her dad, Daniel, runs a successful business in Holtsville that has previously been ranked as the No. 1 cesspool company in Suffolk County for service and price."

She's so young. The rest of her 20s will be spent behind bars. Or at least, most of the rest of her twenties. And she will have a criminal record the rest of her life, and be known as the woman who knocked an old woman to the ground and caused her death. A murderer.

Honestly, I think this sentence is rather mild. And her parents sound like schmucks.

Zero remorse. Normally I don't wish violence or suffering on anyone, but I hope she suffers during her time in prison. Maybe it will make a better person of her. Though, sociopaths don't usually change.

Though used interchangeably often cesspools and septic tanks are *very* common all over LI and Conn.
Hence Dan Pazienza's fortune which goes back two or three generations.

In other words the family's money comes from s**t....
