Please see the pics below. My neighbor did this to my fence. I didn't get any kind of warning from him or anything from him. I am not sure why he did this. I was not here over the weekend, I come back Monday, I see this. I did call the cops, they are asking for video proof which I don't have. I did knock on his door but no answer from him.

Any action I can take?

I would file a claim with my homeowner’s insurance and set up cameras so if anything happens again you have proof.

Are you 100% sure he did this? See what your deductible is before filing a homeowner claim. You can probably get this repaired for less than your deductible.

If it is only one section of fence it could probably be replaced for less than $100. I would ask the neighbor if he saw who did this to your fence. This way you are not accusing him of anything. Before that, I would ask the neighbor across the street if they saw anything or if their Ring Doorbell caught anything. This way you will be armed with the truth. He very well may say he did do it and is sorry and will pay for it. Keep us posted.

If your neighbor did it, it's either an accident or is a very hostile act of vandalism. Any witnesses? In our neighborhood we or our neighbors would own up to this if it were an accident. I love our neighbors--they're the best!

Just a quick update. I found the owner of the house moved out but he is renting his house. I spoke to the tenant who is living there. He said it's the owner who did it, his truck hit my fence while he was backing up. I called him like 20 times but never answered the phone. I also left a V/M and ask him to call me back. But I did record everything what tenant said. So I do have proof (not sure if this is a valid proof)

It's only one fence which is down. It would cost me $100 or something like that. I don't want to waste my money hiring any lawyer or anything for this. Please let me know what you think or what you would do if this happened to you.
Thanks again to all.
