I apologize if there's fifty different posts for the same topic, I wasn't up to the task to sorting through 60 pages of posts to find them.

My bf and I are looking to move out to long island within a month or two. We're looking for a one/two bedroom apartment, $1,500 or less, cats are a must. We're also looking to have it as close as possible to Brooklyn, seeing as he has to commute there. He'd be okay with a 45 minute-hour commute, farther east than that would not be preferred.

It's just going to be the two of us and the cat. No kids planned at any time in the near future (unless you count the cat).

Any good areas in particular we should look in?

THANKS!

Plenty of great apartments in Rockville Centre, Lynbrook. Maybe Mineloa or great neck would suit you.

How about Brooklyn itself? There are many nice areas.
