Moving to LI - now to find jobs... (real estate, apartment)

Hello all:

I have posted here a few times over the past year or so. My husband and I have been back and forth on whether we should move to NY. My husband loves it there and I am originally from LI. We moved within our state (California), but it turns out that it just couldn't compare and so we have made our decision to go and try NY once and for all.

We have located an apartment and we are moving in two weeks, but now we are on the job search. My husband is very bright and well educated, but he is worried that he will have trouble finding jobs. He has been in investment real estate for the past several years and has never enjoyed that line of work, so he is hoping for something else (his previous background was advertising). He is a brilliant writer, so he is hoping to get into the publishing field or even media doing just about anything (I think he'd be willing to sweep the floors at Fox News Channel! lol! ) But truth be told, he would be happy working in any industry as long as he is gainfully employed.

So do you know anyone looking to hire a nice, reliable guy with an MBA (emphasis in marketing)?

I work in advertising (exec assistant) and I have been putting feelers out with some of my contacts there. I am not too worried, as I am sure I can find something.

I thought it couldn't hurt to reach out to any of you who might know of any leads. Or a great headhunter service in NYC that you are familiar with - that would be a BIG help!
