In all seriousness..has anyone ever been snowed in more than a day? All the news reporters are making this to be the end of the world. Gosh, its a snowstorm. We have plows and shovels..we will survive people.

I remember a snowstorm when I was a kid on LI that our school district was closed for 3 days in a row! Boy, what fun! We shoveled a path to the house next door and played board games and listened to music to all hours of the night with the kids next door!
Now that I think about it, I can't remember if my dad was "snowbound" too or if he was required to go to work. I know I will probably have to slog in no matter what tomorrow ... the public transit runs too well!
For Long Island Mike: Snow? Dallas Texas? HAAAA try a snowstorm in Northern Aroostook County Maine! 121 inches last year and close to that again this.
Nope, it really is worse in Dallas! Or anywhere they don't normally get snow. They never see it, they don't have snow plows and they don't know how to drive. It's a disaster. Everything shuts down for an inch. I'd rather have 3 feet in Maine where they know how to drive and put snow chains on.
Just got in...smells like snow in the air.. Wipers are up, shovel and salt are ready, ice scraper is good to go. If this turns out to be the newspeople jerking off again, I'm going to livid.
