Minor correction, Babylon Village assigns parking spaces to its permitted residents. I do not know if there are others.

Im no so sure about this. Maybe at the parking lots East & West of the station. But the spots adjacent to the station are pay as you go spots. Yes, they are numbered so you can pay at the machine. But anyone can park there I think.

Yes, the lot south of the tracks is numbered/metered. The adjacent lots and lots north are assigned permit parking.

I'm on the wait list for an assigned spot. Only about 3 years to go and i'm in.....

I was given a 3-4 year ETA when I moved to BV and signed up 6 month ago. Sweet talking the lady at town hall and promises of flowers and candy did me no good. I pay $25 a year for a sticker that lets me park in the commuter lots without feeding the meters.

I believe the assigned parking permit is $100-200 a year.

(Main Line) you will have prime choice of both stations. Also second choice purchase (western area) off New Hyde Park road preferable east of New Hyde Park Road between New Hyde Park stop (main Line) and Steward Manor stop. Should be able to walk to both branch stations in these areas.
No, the main line goes to Greenport via Ronkonkoma. Huntington is technically part of the Port Jeff branch. LIRR schedules list Ronkonkoma as a branch to make it easier for the masses. The main line is the same as the Ronkonkoma branch.

Wrong for all of the Island. While its true that most stations in Nassau County are permitted by town, there are a few that arent (merrick comes to mind). Most stations in Suffolk are free and do not require a permit(except Babylon, Lindenhurst, Amityville and few others)
