How is the local economic picture in your town versus what we typically see on the news. I know from my own experience that request for donations, both monetary and food have gone waaay up. The town has cut back on holiday decorations and municipal pay.
What has been your experience?

Babylon Village really did a nice job this year with the decorations. If you haven't been through at night this season do so, it's rather Norman Rockwellish. Much of the decorations, garland and lights on the lamp posts, etc. were put up by the community.
