In case you were not aware, Westbury is one of those many villages and hamlets on Long Island where most of the places that have the community name as part of their mailing address are not in the village: places that have a "Westbury, NY 11590" mailing address (4,302 acres) that are not in the Village of Westbury (1,511 acres) are in the Hamlet of Jericho, the Hamlet of Hicksville, the Hamlet of Carle Place, the Hamlet of New Cassel, the Hamlet of Salisbury, the Hamlet of East Garden City and the Hamlet of East Meadow.
How about Mapplewood DR? we thought that the house was in Westbury but now looking at the notes and google it looks like its in NC can some one please shed more light on this? the physical address of the property that we are interested in is 118 Maplewood Dr Westbury, NY 11590 thx in advance

118 Maplewood Drive is in New Cassel ("Westbury, NY 11590" mailing address).

New Cassel is one of those many villages and hamlets on Long Island where none of the places in the community have the hamlet name in their mailing address: all places in the Hamlet of New Cassel have a "Westbury, NY 11590" mailing address
F-Shaikh, you can find out in which community (city, village or CDP) a house is actually located, which is oftentimes different from the community named in that house's mailing address, by using the Census Bureau's online address search function. (CDP or Census Designated Place is the Census Bureau equivalent for a hamlet in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.)
And, very importantly, among other things, the Census Bureau's online address search function also indicates in which school district an address is located.
