Thank you for help,
We used Nowak Allied this past summer for our second floor shell, which included siding, roofing and windows, gutting downstairs, etc. I GC'd everything else, but he is a full service contractor. The shell cost me $72,000 and we were very satisfied with the service and quality of the work. Also, anything we weren't 100% happy with was fixed with no issues. Send me a PM for more info if you're interested in this contractor.

Figure $110 per square foot w/o flooring or paint. Walls will be primed however.

Start at 100k for a full finished job. I am going through the same process currently (in the design phase) and if you need a contractor, send me a PM.

Renovations vary in size and finishes, square footage numbers are good for rough budget ranges and that's it. The cost of any renovation project depends on many variables. Moderator cut: no ads allowed

Someone mentioned to me during a house viewing that I could do a half dormer on a cape in the neighborhood of $30k! Is that totally off base?

Dusting off an old thread...

I have plans to double dormer my cape (located in NHP/Herricks area).

Can anybody offer opinions about Nowak Allied and/or Family Home Improvement?

Recommendations about other contractors are fine, but I'm particularly interested in the two that I mentioned.
