This is absolutely crazy. I mean, entirely believable, but absolutely crazy.

I'd say there's some irony in that it was our policies that encourage the homeless and illegal aliens to congregate here which caused such a massive degradation of the area, but local government wouldn't get it.

This thread is very offensive. Here they go blaming the poor defenseless homeless when it is clearly Agent Orange in the white house and his climate politics that led to this fire. #resist #strongertogether #wearetoo

Someone forgot to add muffins to his gift basket. Poor soul had to cook his own breakfast.

You can expect for these types of incidents to continue as long as the homeless problem worsens.

This fire began on the border between Bonin's and Koretz's districts -- any statements from either of them about changing their policies regarding the homeless?

Bonin is under threat of a recall which is why Pacific Division has actually been at least trying to enforce the law. Koretz is in no danger of losing his job so West LA Division has no need to get their **** together.

There is more chance of Bonin responding to pressure than Koretz as Koretz has no incentive to do so.

Hmm wonder if this will make Westside liberals change their tune on the homeless .

I had been saying for a long time that the homeless create a lot of problems and crime but was attacked . Many times from people that don't even live in L.A

Now it's coming out more . Even Garcetti and LAPD have admitted the homeless are behind the rise in crime now . Although it's more like a one line thing while they talk nonstop about the need to build them $500,000 housing units ... oh and raise taxes to pay for it.

The troublemaker homeless know that enforcement in L.A is lax and they exploit it and take advantage.
